SVANETI TREKKING ADVENTURE
7 Days | Kutaisi – Svaneti – Kutaisi
Small Group: Maximum 12 Guests
Welcome to Svaneti — one of the wildest and most beautiful corners of the Caucasus.
This is a small-group adventure designed for people who want to experience Svaneti on foot, without turning the whole trip into a race. We’ll walk through mountain landscapes, traditional Svan villages, forests, valleys and high-altitude trails, while leaving enough time to enjoy the scenery and the local atmosphere.
Our group size is limited to a maximum of 12 people, so the experience stays personal, relaxed and flexible.
DAY 1 — ARRIVAL IN KUTAISI
Kutaisi International Airport → Svaneti
Our adventure starts at Kutaisi International Airport.
We’ll meet at the airport and head towards Svaneti together. Today is mainly a travel day, giving us time to settle in, enjoy the scenery on the road and get ready for the days ahead.
Hiking: No hiking
Overnight: Svaneti
DAY 2 — THE FIRST HIKE
2,300 m → 2,500 m
Distance: 6 km | 3 km out + 3 km back
Our first hiking day starts at around 2,300 metres above sea level.
We’ll follow a mountain trail climbing gradually towards approximately 2,500 metres. The total hiking distance is around 6 km, with 3 km going up and 3 km coming back.
It’s a great way to start the adventure, get used to the altitude and enjoy our first proper views of the Greater Caucasus.
No need to rush — we’ll walk at a comfortable group pace and take time for photos and mountain views along the way.

DAY 3 — KORULDI LAKES & CHALAADI GLACIER
Two different experiences in one day
Today gives us the chance to experience two very different sides of Svaneti.
Koruldi Lakes — Optional Hike
We’ll head towards the famous Koruldi Lakes, surrounded by some of the most impressive peaks in the region.
The hike here is optional, so you can decide depending on your energy, weather conditions and how you feel on the day.

Prefer to take it easy and enjoy the mountains? That’s absolutely fine too.
Chalaadi Glacier
Later, we’ll head towards Chalaadi Glacier for an easier but spectacular hike.
The trail is approximately 2.5 km each way, making it around 5 km in total.
We’ll walk through the forest and along the valley towards the glacier, with the sound of the river accompanying us along the way.

Difficulty: Moderate / Optional

DAY 4 — MAZERI & SHDUGRA WATERFALL
12 km round trip
Today we explore the beautiful Mazeri / Becho Valley.
Our hike starts and finishes at Hiker's Café, making it a straightforward out-and-back route.
We’ll walk approximately 6 km towards the waterfall and 6 km back, for a total of around 12 km.
The trail takes us through forests and mountain landscapes towards Shdugra Waterfall, with the dramatic peaks of the Caucasus surrounding us.
This is one of those days where the journey itself is just as enjoyable as the destination.
Distance: ~12 km
Route: 6 km out + 6 km back

DAY 5 — MESTIA → ZHABESHI
The big hiking day
Approximately 18–20 km
Today is our longest hiking day.
We’ll leave Mestia on foot and make our way towards Zhabeshi, following mountain trails through the beautiful landscapes of Upper Svaneti.
Expect changing scenery throughout the day — forests, open mountain slopes, traditional villages and spectacular views of the surrounding Caucasus.
With approximately 18–20 km of hiking, this is the day that requires the most endurance.
But don't worry — we’re not here to break records.
We’ll keep a steady and comfortable pace, take regular breaks and enjoy the route together.
Distance: ~18–20 km
Difficulty: Moderate / Challenging
Overnight: Zhabeshi / Svaneti
DAY 6 — SVAN TOWERS & ZURULDI
A slower day
After yesterday’s long hike, today is intentionally more relaxed.
We’ll explore the unique Svan towers and get a closer look at the traditional architecture and culture of the region.
Then we’ll take the cable car up towards Zuruldi, where we’ll have some of the best panoramic views over the surrounding mountains.
There will also be an option for a short walk around the area for anyone who still wants to stretch their legs.
Or simply sit back, enjoy the view and have a coffee.
Today is about slowing down and enjoying Svaneti without a schedule hanging over our heads.

DAY 7 — BACK TO KUTAISI
Svaneti → Kutaisi International Airport
Unfortunately, every adventure has to come to an end.
Today is our return journey from Svaneti to Kutaisi International Airport.
We’ll travel together through the changing landscapes of western Georgia, with plenty of memories, photos and probably a few tired legs from the week.
Our tour officially ends at Kutaisi International Airport.
